“This place is awesome. I have worked in radiology for the last 11 years and have been a patient in radiology more times than I care to recount. I was in need of 3 scans, my provider sent an order to another facility that I will not name (Starts with A). I was very motivated to get the scans done as quickly as possible, and they were not able to see me and schedule all 3 for the same day unless I was willing to wait almost 1.5 weeks. I decided to call around and had the pleasure if speaking with Ms Kendyl. She was very attentive, I gave her a rundown on my situation and I felt that she expressed a lot of empathy and understanding about why I was in such a “rush” to have my scan done. She was able to get me schedule for all 3 scans.. THE VERY NEXT DAY!!!!
My experience there was great, all of the technologist were efficient and displayed excellent skill in their individual crafts. When it came time to getting my results, Kendyl did all that she could to ensure that there was no delay in sending out my results. In this area, I often have difficulty finding providers that accept my insurance (Tricare), they were able to accept my insurance and had any necessary authorizations taken care of. If I ever need any imaging done in the future, I will be sure to return to Central Park Imaging.”

In my experience, the lack of pricing transparency of most medical facilities, you know where you ask what it costs and they tell you they won’t know until after they bill your insurance, blah blah, and then you get the service and 2 months later receive an outrageously high bill in the mail. Kendyl made certain that I knew BEFORE I had my image what the range of costs would be if covered or not, so I knew my worst case scenario. If felt totally at ease with either outcome. The imaging tech let me see the images when she was done and she suggested I take photos of the screen images to share with my family doctors back home, explained to me what she saw, made me feel at ease. The whole experience left me feeling really cared for as a patient, like they got my world. So rare in healthcare these days. I cannot recommend enough. If you need imaging, don’t go anywhere else.”

She was not only sweet, concerned, compassionate, and kind, but she did so with a professional attitude, but also without seeming like, as sometimes people do when they’re being ultra professional, holding me at arms length. People in medicine can sometimes range between totally cold and dispassionate, to like weird and all up in your business. This gal was none of those things and just everything lovely and positive! I am grateful there’s not just ADA to rely on. After having a pretty negative experience there, I’m really glad I can schedule with someone else who exemplifies all of these awesome qualities. As I was finishing with my questions, she asked me if I knew what they were wanting to MRI (the area of my body) and I explained to her what the orders were. She added, “Well that’s a 27 minute test. Just so you really know what you’re getting in for!” =D I mean! She was totally thorough with me! “I’m an RN, I’ve worked everything from ER to OR, and I think this place is fantastic. They answered all my questions, even the very specific ‘nurse family member’ inquiries, double checked what needed to happen with radiologists before we arrived, helped me figure out what pricing would be for scans, and remembered me throughout the scheduling process. One day I even called back to confirm a detail and someone in the background of the office heard the receptionist talking to me, said “Hey, is that Emma?” and jumped on the phone with an update. “My doctor asked me to get an MRI of my head. I had months of headaches following cataract surgery and even though they were almost gone, I thought it would be good to have a look at my brain/head. I had a previous thermagraphic imagining, which came out “normal.” Then I decided to also do the MRI to take a deeper look, my doctor agreed. My appointment was on a monday. I selected Central Park Imaging from their web site and because it is near where I live. Their web site gave me the image of people who cared and knew what they were doing. I called and scheduled for the next Monday. They suggested I come in on friday to meet people and take a look at the facility and learn what would be happening. I went with a friend. Actually, getting an MRI and being in a “tube” was not the top of my list of things to do! So I had to prepare myself. I’m so glad I went that friday, met people, had a chance to get inside the MRI tube for a few minutes to see what it was like and had a friend for support, who had had an MRI before. I found out I would be in the MRI machine for 23 minutes for the MRI of my head. So on saturday and sunday, I actually layed still on my bed, set my alarm for 23 minutes and imagined what it would be like. I knew I had to be still so I “practiced” and gave my mind some tasks to focus on for that amount of time. I selected two things to focus my mind on: one, tracing my family lineage on both my Mother and then my Father’s side. I thought that would keep me busy for a while. The second thing I planned to focus on was solving a challenge in my business. When MRI day came and I was in the tube, I started my family lineage process. However, I had not heard the sound of the metal magnets before. When those sounds started, for some reason, all I could think of was Humpback Whales in the ocean making those kinds of deep guttural sounds. I completely let go of thinking about what I had decided previously and spent an enjoyable time imagining being part of a whale pod in the ocean. I could have stayed longer in the MRI tube but alas, It was time to get out. The staff is exceptional and I certainly recommend Central Park Imaging as the place to go. OH -and when I got the results with my Doctor everything look beautifully normal. A very interesting and helpful experience because of the great service and professionalism of the people at Central Park Imaging.”

So I called Central Park Imaging to see if they could get him in. They got us on the schedule the next day, less than 24 hours from my call, WOW! They took down our insurance info and said they would call back when it was approved. I bet it was not 45 minutes before I got a call back letting me know it was covered. We went to the appointment the next day; the staff couldn’t have been nicer. They answered all our questions and put my son at ease (not that easy when you’re going to be in an MRI tube for 45 min). “My doctor wanted me to go have a quick CT scan during an appointment last week, and despite disparately wanting to know what was causing my headaches over the last 2 weeks my first thought was “how much is this going to cost” as I have a very high deductible and knew the cost was going to be all out of pocket. While my doctor office started the process of pre-authorizing the scan with my insurance and scheduling my appointment with their “Preferred Partner” I hurried back to my office to check out my options. There are a lot of choices out there so started calling around and checked 4 of the imaging centers near my office to verify their cash price for the scan. I was surprised by the prices from low to high but also the amount of time it took 2 of the centers to calculate the cost. When I call Central Park the staff member that I spoke to was very friendly and prompt with the cash price for the scan and was the only center that I called that actually took the time to inquire what problem I was having. The price was the most reasonable of the centers I contacted and after a follow-up call about an hour later they even arranged to squeeze me in between to 2 other appointments so that my doctor could get the results of the scan the following day.”

My experience at Central Park Imaging was outstanding. Huge shoutout to Kendyl for making me feel at home as soon as I stepped in the front door. Most medical practices are late and behind schedule, but not here. They are EXTREMELY punctual. All staff members are receptive, kind, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Central Park Imaging. J T Wow, it’s not every day I get to share a super positive experience in medicine, but I spoke with this really lovely lady at what I’m imagining was a front desk (-laugh-) and even though she didn’t identify herself for me to acknowledge as properly as I wish I could here (she was in the middle of something when I called (I only know this because she was trailing off as she picked up), so it seemed like she was multitasking! I’m only saying this just in case her mean ol’ crumugenoy boss (-laughing- Again, I’m imagining!) grumps at her for not identifying herself!), she was an absolute delight! I want to say that even not knowing her name, you’d be able to identify her! She’s jovial, charming, has a soft hint of an accent, and is probably — again, only guessing here! — in her mid to late 40s-50s? May she forgive me if it’s not true! I called, today, because I’m what you might call a seriously nervous MRI’r! I had no idea that being mashed into a metal tube scared the crud out of me, until I was inside one, once, and without any consent to either my brain or my body, literally started to freak out! Knowing not only what you’re getting in for, but what your options are is kind of vital in that situation! I didn’t figure the person answering the phones right off the bat could answer my specific questions, but boy howdy! She was not only sweet, concerned, compassionate, and kind, but she did so with a professional attitude, but also without seeming like, as sometimes people do when they’re being ultra professional, holding me at arms length. People in medicine can sometimes range between totally cold and dispassionate, to like weird and all up in your business. This gal was none of those things and just everything lovely and positive! I am grateful there’s not just ADA to rely on. After having a pretty negative experience there, I’m really glad I can schedule with someone else who exemplifies all of these awesome qualities. As I was finishing with my questions, she asked me if I knew what they were wanting to MRI (the area of my body) and I explained to her what the orders were. She added, “Well that’s a 27 minute test. Just so you really know what you’re getting in for!” =D I mean! She was totally thorough with me! I think if you’re like me, looking for a new place to go, this place sure shows itself to be outside the norm! And with representatives like the sweet gal who helped me, it can only shine favorably on the kind of service they really give. I’ll update once I know for sure! =))

“I’m an RN, I’ve worked everything from ER to OR, and I think this place is fantastic. They answered all my questions, even the very specific ‘nurse family member’ inquiries, double checked what needed to happen with radiologists before we arrived, helped me figure out what pricing would be for scans, and remembered me throughout the scheduling process. One day I even called back to confirm a detail and someone in the background of the office heard the receptionist talking to me, said “Hey, is that Emma?” and jumped on the phone with an update. It was so nice and so personal. The owner greeted us by name when we came in for our appointment, and made me feel totally comfortable. Usually I’m a total hover nurse, but they were great. Finding the place was easy and parking was fine early in the morning. Hopefully we don’t have a lot of radiological studies in our future, but if anything comes up I would absolutely go here.

Needed to find a dependable Radiology facility after a ski accident required an MRI. I had already had six appointments cancelled by a “big box” organization over a 10 day period and couldn’t logically wait any longer to get my shoulder fixed. Calling a number of other facilities, Central Park Imaging was the only business to immediately call me back and aggressively work me into their schedule. Central Parks staff from the CEO, Kendyl Richards, to the technician were superb. Of special note, the Dr. who administered the injection for my MRI, performed exceptionally. Friday a week ago (March 2, 2018) I had an experience that absolutely made my day! What, you say??? Getting a brain MRI made your day??? Yes, my experience was actually that good! Let me preface by saying that even the calls that I got asking me for information BEFORE my appointment were done so pleasantly that it left me wondering, “what kind of place is this???” And then, once I walked into the door of the office I found out what kind of place it was! It was a place where I was treated with kindness, compassion, and treated like I was actually important. The woman behind the desk (Kendall Richards…more about her later) was so engaging and thoughtful and she kept coming out into the waiting room to help a woman who was preparing for a procedure. Treated her like a friend, not just a patient. When it was time for my procedure, the man who did the MRI was every bit as kind and thoughtful. It was really just an overall wonderful experience. When I was all done, I was talking with Kendall (the front desk lady) and came to find out she was actually the owner of the business! WOW. This is a yelp review that I was motivated to write because the philosophy of the owner has trickled into the running of the business. I might add that I am private pay, no insurance, and she said that they have the best private pay fees in central Texas, for the sake of people like me. Awesome! If I have a choice, this is where I will always go for my imaging.

When my son possibly tore his ACL, the orthopedist referred us to ARA for an MRI. I have a high deductible plan so would have to pay out of pocket. When I called ARA and found how much they’d charge for the MRI, I did a quick search and found Central Park Imaging who could do the MRI for almost half as much. Our experience was fantastic: the office was well-run, the staff was friendly and engaged my 10 year old son in conversation, the MRI went quickly and smoothly, and they gave me both a CD of the MRI and also uploaded it to the PACS system so the orthopedist could review it online. I found Central Park Imaging because of their lower cost, but now I would go back because of the great experience.

When I called the staff was so incredibly nice and efficient from setting up my appointment the very next day to filing with my insurance! Upon arrival the staff was very warm and welcoming! Anyone with kids knows how scary doctor offices can be for little ones, but the crew at Central Park Imaging eased mine and my daughter’s jitters. They let her see the machine beforehand and explained what it does, when it came time for the IV the man was quick and very gentle. In the future I know where I’ll be coming for my Imaging needs! My doctor wanted me to go have a quick CT scan during an appointment last week, and despite disparately wanting to know what was causing my headaches over the last 2 weeks my first thought was “how much is this going to cost” as I have a very high deductible and knew the cost was going to be all out of pocket. While my doctor office started the process of pre-authorizing the scan with my insurance and scheduling my appointment with their “Preferred Partner” I hurried back to my office to check out my options. There are a lot of choices out there so started calling around and checked 4 of the imaging centers near my office to verify their cash price for the scan. I was surprised by the prices from low to high but also the amount of time it took 2 of the centers to calculate the cost. When I call Central Park the staff member that I spoke to was very friendly and prompt with the cash price for the scan and was the only center that I called that actually took the time to inquire what problem I was having. The price was the most reasonable of the centers I contacted and after a follow-up call about an hour later they even arranged to squeeze me in between to 2 other appointments so that my doctor could get the results of the scan the following day. The Dr was a little nerdy, but I prefer my doctors nerdy (and intelligent and book smart…). The front office even asked if I needed a sedative when they were setting up my appointment. They handled everything from setting up my appointment to filing my insurance with the highest of professionalism and compassion. They even sent me a refund of the overage on the insurance deductible they had estimated.
